Dr. Shruthi Acharya is a perfect amalgamation of a compassionate healer, an ardent teacher, and an innovative leader. She completed her BDS from A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore, and did her Masters in Oral Medicine and Radiology from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal. She has made significant contributions to the field of dentistry with over 25 publications in renowned national and international journals. As a trailblazer, she has initiated a fully automated campus visit program- Destination Manipal.
Beyond her academic pursuits, she chairs the Innovation and Entrepreneurship vertical at the college. Her contributions as the moderator for the Manipal-Kings College London Virtual Student Exchange Program have opened doors for students to gain a global perspective. Dr. Acharya is the mentor for several projects organized by the Student Research Forum. She laid the foundation for the social media Cell in college and is the Subject expert for the Materiovigilance Programme of India. She was awarded the Good Teacher Award from 2015 to 2024. She is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal with over 13 years of experience.
